It is heartbreaking to see the reality of the fashion industry. So many beautiful materials are unused and on the way to the landfills. We want to save as much as possible. All of our garments are made by our tailor Mrs. Zekiye, from leftover fabrics of mass production.

Meet Our Tailor

Mrs. Zekiye

She is a beautiful woman from Tekirdag, a cute beach town in Turkey. We call her Mom chalk. She has been following her passion through tailoring for 25 years. She values the most having a direct connection to her customers, to provide the best fit on any & every body type and seeing them happy wearing her creations.

"Thanks to @southchalk for this sweater! It is so so soft and I've practically been wearing it since it arrived last week. I love that South Chalk makes their sweaters from unused fabric from clothing factories. It's a great way to use fabric that would otherwise go to a landfill, plus it's pretty cool to know only a few other sweaters like this exist! . In the photo I am using the bra-tuck method to make my sweater look cropped, but its also long enough to be worn with leggings for days I want to be cozier. 😊"
